Today is a gloomy day. But I will not complain, because yesterday was suffocating. So we need some rain in order to refresh the air. :)

I took advantage of this weather by doing some cleaning in the apartment. I'm good at keeping it tidy, but this morning when I woke up it was a mess.

What I like to do when I clean is to put a few vinyls on, as I like how it is soothing to the soul. Today I listened to Safia Nolin, Fleetwood Mac and Lana del Rey.

Of course a gloomy day wouldn't be comforting without some sort of hot beverage, and my beverage of choice is coffee!

This was how I spent my morning, I'm now relaxing and reading a little bit.

Oh! And tomorrow I'll turn 34!

How is your Friday so far?

I've seen this idea on a few blogs already and thought it was fun. Nevertheless, it's style hard to think of all the songs that made an impression during one month!

You can find the playlist on Spotify. Enjoy!

• It seems that the Canadian Netflix doesn't have all the shows some countries have.
• I thought, that since it was the Canadian version, I would be able to watch some shows in French, so that I could watch with my mum. It seems there aren't a ton of shows in French, and those that are are subtitled.
• Sometimes I add things in my List, and then when look, it's not there anymore.

Another week with ups and downs. Seriously, I can't wait for some sunshine, the weather here is just so depressing! Snow, rain and more snow!

I started to work again this week! A good thing, so I'm feeling useful. Especially with this weather, as I cannot work on my painting and restoration project yet.

I got my hair cut on Thursday! And I also dyed it. I'm not really fond of the colour though, I will have to work on that, but I like the haircut! Such a change from my long hair, but I don't regret it, even though I liked my long hair.

Yesterday my mum and I went to a zumbathon that a local hairdresser organized to raise funds for charity. It was fun and I sweat a lot! Nobody wanted to come with me. That's typical, there's not a lot going on an then when the're something nobody wants to to it. Really this gets me down. Then my mum decided she's come, and she was so into it, I told here I knew she's love it!

That's about it. This week is probably going to be a hard one as we'll have to put our dog to sleep. He has arthritis, and can barely walk anymore, and just sleeps all day. I just keep on praying one day before we make the call that I'll wake up and he'll be his normal self, but chances are slim.

Hope you are having a better time, sorry for the last bit, I don't want to bring down anybody but Félix is just such a good dog and I'll miss him so bad.

What a week!

On Tuesday I went to Gaspé for an interview. My parents and I decided to make a day trip out of it and it was nice. I had a Gadix, which was a chocolat mousse cake at the Café des Artistes, and it was so yummy!

In the evening I went to give blood.  Every time there is a collect in my village I always seem to work during it, but because I'm not working, I was able to go. It feels good to be able to do such a good deed.

On Wednesday I had a telephone interview for another job in another city and it went well. I would really like to have this one, so fingers crossed!

Also this week I was called back to get back to work part time at the store I used to work. So decidedly, it is all or nothing!

Today I saw two seals in the sea while we were driving! Just two heads out of the water, but they were so close to the shore!

How was your week? Have you ever given blood?

I had an interview on Thursday. Turns out I didn't get the job, but I now have two interviews for next week. Eeeek!

One of them is in Gaspé. It's a city I don't go to very often, so it's going to be interresting to be a tourist for a day! The other one will be on the phone, but the job is actually in another city so fingers crossed I might go there in a few weeks.

I meant to write an email to one of my Parisian friends for Easter, but then it got out of my mind. But, she wrote me! So we're in sync hehe!

Today I read a short story in one of mylittlebox's magazine that's called Demain est un nouveau jour (Tomorrow is a new day) by Olivier Norek. You can read it in French here. I don't get to read short stories a lot anymore, but I like them a lot. I think they convey a special universe in such a condense few pages. This one is written by a man, but in a young woman's point of view and is really cute. If you can read French, go ahead and read it :)

Still in the Parisian theme, this week I ordered the Parisian Chic book by Ines de la Fressange and a Take me to Paris mug from Indigo. I also found a black and white photo called " Le lendemain matin" (The Next Morning) at the charity shop. The picture is a lonely man in the wee hours of the morning in Montmartre, a neighbourhood in Paris. I think this picture, like the short story, tells a lot without being expansive.

I have clean sheets for tonight! It's one of those little life's pleasures to sleep in fresh linens. I think I'm going to have a good night!

How is Spring going in your part of the world?

Happy Easter!

I completely skipped yesterday's post! It was a dull day, with a snowstorm, I fell asleep in the middle of the afternoon and felt so sluggish afterwards! Anyway, here are the stuff I like this week!

I know I repeat myself but the weather has been nice almost all week long, so I was able to walk almost everyday this week. We had a snowstorm yesterday, but other than that it was walking weather!

And I lost weight again! Not a lot, not even 1lbs, but it is lost nevertheless!

I had dinner at the restaurant with two friends, former colleagues on Thursday. I haven't gone out a lot lately, so it's good to see my people!

I like to rummage in my parents' basement. I find all sorts of cool things! This week I found an old blue console table, and the colour is perfect like it is already!

The other day I received a call from H&R Block. Apparently I'm going to receive my 2014 tax back as I didn't make a lot for the year. Sounds good to me, as I don't have any income coming in right now.

Hope you're all having a nice Easter weekend!
