A few weeks ago, I was invited to preview the new Mary Poppins collection from Made of Carpet.

Made of Carpet is a fairly new company that designs and sells bags made of (yes you guessed!) carpets! I thought this was such a cool concept! I have never heard of such a thing, but apparently the idea comes back from the Victorian era. Hence the theme of this collection, Mary Poppins, the fantastic English nanny.

I have talked with Irina Bragin, the woman behind this brand. She told me how she has been influenced by English literature characters such as Mary Poppins and Miss Marple, but tailoring the bags for modern life, lasting a lifetime. Each bag is made out of one carpet and the new collection has 5 models. Other companies offer similar products made from tapestry, but Made of Carpet is the only one designed with authentic Oriental-style carpet. This makes them original and unique.

Bags retail for £120-£140.

I am not a big tea drinker (I prefer coffee), but I like loose leaf and flower tea. Don't you think they look waaaaaaaaaaay nicer that the tea bags?

I had the opportunity to review Choi Time Tea, a quality Chinese tea company. I have received the gift box-trio of tea* containing Jasmine Green Tea pearls, Damask Rose Buds and Chrysanthemum flowers. I was particularly intrigued by the Damask Rose Buds one, as I like flower tea. Each portion of tea can make 3 to 5 cups of tea.

One thing I noticed about these teas is that the flavours are subtle. Which can be either good or bad, depending if you like yours strong or not. At first, I tought it was weird, and I was wondering how can I make another cup of tea with those leaves? But the good thing is that contratry to ordinary tea, where all the flavours develop in the first cup and if you add water again it is a watered version of the tea, this one is consistent with its flavours.

I also found the green tea really relaxing. Green tea has cafeine in it, but I drank this one at night, and it felt like herbal tea in the way that it soothes me. I also noticed than drinking this tea with a banging headache helped me with the pain.

Overall, I think this tea would make a good present or a nice tea when you have people over. I wouldn't consider this as an everyday tea, it's too pretty for it! These are perfect for a little tea ritual, as its visual aspect is striking.

Back in October, when I went to the Beauty Playground Event, I got the chance to have had a glitter tattoo done on my wrist. I promised you I would come back to you with this and here it is!


The Skin Art Glitter Tattoos* was the product I was most impressed by at this event, to my own surprise! I am not a fan of tattoos, so I pass by the table quickly, but then one of the girls asked me if I wanted to have one and I said "Why not?". And that's it, I was hooked!

I think what I don't like with regular tattoos is that they can look just dirty, but the glitter makes it really fun and sparkly. It is good on a night out, or... for the Holiday season!


The Skin Art Glitter Tattoos Kit Comes with 5 sheets of stencils, 3 pots of glitters (gold, silver, black), glue and applicator and finishing brushes. I really like the fact it comes with different designs and the three glitter colours.


The stars and heart stencils are my favourite. Last time, I went for a star, but this time, I tried two hearts (it's also easy to layer a few together for a different design).

You start by sticking the stencil where you would like your tatoo. You then dab the glue all over the stencil. I waited for it to dry a little bit, so it's tacky (like eyelash glue).


Then you apply the chosen glitters with the applicator brush. Make sure you cover every area, pressing down the glitter and then dust away the excess with the finishing brush.

There you have it! Your own glitter tattoo! The box says it should last for 5 days, but in my experience they last about 3. But in the case of the black heart, it's easy to do some touch-ups.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to review some Di Palomo products. Di Palomo is an English brand based in Devon but inspired by indulgent Italy.

I have never heard of that brand before, but the scent of the products offered (White Grape) caught my fancy! It might be because white grape sound more glamourous than just purple grape (grape juice) or because I love white wine...


I was expecting luxurious products, and I was not dissapointed. In fact, when I received the box, it felt even more luxe than I thought. Everything was packaged like this was a gift. complete with green tissue paper, and the individual box of the products have tabs on it, which I rarely see.

I have received two products: White Grape & Aloe Body Butter* and White Grape & Aloe Bath & Shower Cream*. They say about the White Grape & Aloe's scent:

A wonderful l and truly amazing perfume that will make you feel indulged and pampered and pick you up and take you to a place in Tuscany on a warm summer’s day. This perfume will remind you of a special time or a romantic event in your life with that special someone. With the sweet and soft fragrance of the perfume the memories will come flooding back.

The body butter comes in a frosted glass jar, which I think is really nice. The Shower Cream, on the other hand, comes in a plastic bottle. Which is a little cheaper, but more handy in the shower/bath. Furthermore, it has a pump, which is very handy (no need to fuss with lids).

At first, I wasn't sure about the Shower Cream. Was is like a shower gel? Or like bubble bath? I decided to use it as a shower gel, but the fact that cream was written was confusing me. I was expecting something that doesn't lather. Well, it lathers nicely. And a subtle scent stays on the body afterwards.
If you want a stronger scent, you can put on the Body Butter. The smell is less subtle, but is still nice. You can almost go without perfume if you use this. It also leaves skin feeling soft.

I would say these would be nice gift during the upcoming holiday season. The body butter is £15 and the Shower Cream is £9. Other products and ranges are available, and you can also purchase gift sets.

Not too long ago I placed an order on Neom Luxury Organics website. I wanted to spoil myself and buy something a little more luxurious than what I usually buy. NEOM products seemed to fit the bill, and on top of it, they are organics (not mandatory for me, but still a good plus).

I was mainly intrigued by their Moroccan Blush Rose scent as that day I wanted to smell roses! I usually don't like roses that much, but this day was different I guess!

The website is easy to naviguate, as you can browse through the products either by products type or scent. I am also new to online orders, I try not too, as I am usually reluctant to give my card details or anything. NEOM doesn't take paypal, but since it was a brand I trusted, I went ahead and made my order.


I think I place my order on a Friday and it arrived on Monday, so shipping was really fast. The first thing I noticed was how big the box was for only two items. Luckily, that big box was filled with those paper shred, and everything in it was in good state!

In the order was also a papier bag, which can be nice if you intend to give the products as a gift.

Since I wanted to try anything with the Moroccan Blush Rose scent, I browse through their Moroccan Blush Rose selection. I came up chosing the Moroccan Blush Rose Organic room mist.
I could've chosen a candle, which could have been nice, but since I already have a few candles
I wanted something different. It is a little on the pricey side, £15.00, but I think being a luxury brand, the price is reasonnable, and the bottle has a good size (100 ml).

It claims: " Made from a simple blend of pure essential oils, spring water and pure grain alcohol they are 95% organic and free from harsh preservatives, so they will not pollute your lungs, home or the environment. Simply spray the mists liberally into the air at home or in the office to create an 'Instant Holistic Treatment'. As you inhale the mood enhancing essential oils, they work to relax, refresh or lift your mood depending on the treatment you choose."


I also wanted to smell the other scent, so I picked the Mini Bath Oil Set. It is kind of a sampler of their bath oil selection. When I ordered them, I thought it was actually bigger than it is. But this is just because I haven't really checked how big 5ml is, but the website shows clearly that it is 5x5ml. I think it is really expensive though, as it is £15.00. Each vials hold about 2 uses, so I will have 10 baths out of it.
The Mini Bath Oil Set contains: Complete Bliss (Moroccan Blush Rose), Real Luxury (Lavender, Jasmine & Brazilian Rosewood), Refresh (Sicilian Lemon & Fresh Basil), Restore (Jasmine, Ginger & Sandalwood) & Tranquillity (English Lavender with Sweet Basil & Jasmine).

It claims: "As with the cult NEOM Luxury Organics candles the essential oil content is incredibly high (30%) so a little really does go a long way. Depending on how strong you like your baths you can get between one and two uses per vial. Place the contents into a hot bath, slipping in for a deep refreshing and luxurious experience. Alternatively apply a similar amount to the body before showering."

I am really curious about this shower usage, as I have never heard that a bath oil could be used in a shower!

So far, I am glad of the purchase, but I have to admit I was a little dissapointed by the size of the bath oils. I think I thought it would be twice as big as they are. I think for the price, it could have been bigger.
