I haven't bought any beauty item in the last two months apart from one product at the Lise Watier and Alexfashionbeauty event. It started out as a 1 month no-buy and then I didn't have anything special to buy so I made it for two months!

So you can guess that after two months I was let loose! I went shopping in New Brunswick last week and here's what I brought back beauty-wise!

FLOWER Shadow Play in Foxy Browns: I've seen those products from Drew Barrymore at the beginning of the year when I came back to Canada, and thought they were pretty. But I just didn't know which product to get. It seems that nothing was standing out for me so I passed it. But last week I decided this palette was cute, and it was the only one left in this shade.

Bioré Charcoal Pore Strips: I received a sample in a magazine not too long ago (you can see it on Instagram) and was impressed byt he result. I tried the original Bioré strips many years ago and didn't see any result, but I like those charcoal ones. It's fascinating in a weird way to see the gunk on the strips afterwards!

Shoppers Drug Mart

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Pretty Piggy: Decided to give the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes the benefit of the doubt and try another colour. I've already tried the Birthday Suit one, that I didn't like. But seeing so many people like those polishes, maybe mine was just a bad one, and I'll try this coral one.

Essie Bikini So Teeny: Since the Essies were on sale and even cheaper than Wal-Mart, I took advantage of it and get Bikini so Teeny, that I've been wanting since a few weeks. This was really popular about 2-3 years ago, but I still think the colour is cute.

Nails Inc Baker Street: And then Nails Inc were about half price, so I jumped at the chance to get Baker Street (regular one), that I've been wanting for a year. It looks great next to Bikini so Teeny, so maybe a manicure combining both can be done!

Maybelline Colorsensational Rebel Bloom Hibiscus Pop: Since I've dyed my hair, I decided I needed new lippy colors and I think a bright Barbie pink is great to prevent looking washed out!

Lise Watier Rouge Sublime in Amour: This one is more on the nude side, but I still think it will look great with my blonder hair.

Garnier Clean + Makeup Removing Cleansing Lotion: Why doe companies give names long like that? Anyway, I was curious to try this, and see if I like it better than the Body Shop Cleansing Oil. So far it is good but you have to go through a few times to get the mascara off.

L'Oréal Féria Wild Ombré 060: As I said, I dyed my hair a few weeks ago, but I'm not too sure about the effect, so I will probably ombré it. I found this box at Maxi for 30% off 9$, so it was now around 6$ :)

By the time you read this I will be in Rimouski and I will probably shop some more!

I have a 2-in-1 post for you today! The first picture are the empties I got in Paris. I didn't bring them back with me, it would have been silly! But I took a picture so I can report on them.

The second one is a mix of September Empties, that were still in my closet when I left and the rest of this month's empties.

BBW Pumpkin Spice Latte Foaming Soap: I love BBW Foaming Soaps. The pump squirt a good amount and then it leaves a nice scent on your hands. This one might be too sweet for some though.

No7 Protect & Perfect Day Cream: I liked this cream, not greasy but luxurious! And the scent is really particular to it, reminds me of good memories!

Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation: I got mine in Natural Beige, and I talked about it in a Favourites post. I think it's actually the first time I finish a foundation. I've chucked some in the past but finishing, that's the first time. I like it, but it's quite messy!

Biosilk Silk Therapy Serum: I've been using this since I'm 17 and even though I try to replace it with other options as it contains silicons, nothing beats it. I used to have backups if this because it was not always available where I was, hence the old bottle. I don't have one now, so I'll wait and see!

Vichy Corrector in 14 Nude: I can't recall the name of this one, and on the website the only corrector is not fitting. I liked it though, this sample lasted ages and the colour was perfect for my imperfections. I think I still have samples of this in the other shades.

Estée Lauder Double Wear in Outdoor Beige: The product was good, but the colour was too dark for me! Usually the shades in the samples are pretty close to my complexion but this one was too dark, so I had to mix it to use it.

Dove Soaps: As you can see, I usually use a variety of Dove soaps. I know they're not the most natural out there, and the dyes in it are terrible (I saw it transfer on another soap in my soap box in Europe). But it doesn't live me with a greasy film and that's what matters to me.

Synergen Day & Night Cream: This is a cream I got in Germany. The product in itself is good for oily skin, it is fresh and not greasy. The only thing is that the scent, even though it is good, is overpowering. Must not be good for the skin!

BBW Pumpkin Caramel Latte: This is the candle I had on my desk in Europe and all my coworkers were alwys commenting on it when I was burning it. One even came in my office just to smell it!

Garancia Que mes rougeurs disparaissent Serum: I've seen Garancia products when I was in France, but this is the first time I try one. I liked the feeling of this serum, which is more like a cream to me. The scent was nice. I couldn't really see a difference on my redness though, but I think it deals more with rosacea than spots redness.

So for September I finished 7 products, and in December, 16. Not bad. Here's to a good Empties 2015 :P

Becca Creme Blush in Amaryllis: I bought this one when I was in Quebec City before going to London last summer, but you know how it is. You put something into your suitcase or handbag, and then you cannot find it anywhere. And then you find it. In the pocket of said suitcase you already checked 10 000 times! So I found it back just before coming here, and it is a really fresh colour, as I like the doll's cheek effect. I also like creamy blushers, I think they apply more easily then the powder ones.

Mavala Ginza Nail Polish: I'm so in love with this colour. So much so that I have fond a matching beret last week!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in 70 Barely Branded: I don't know why I stopped using my Color Tattoos. I just adore them. This one is especially nice with a black catflick!

Personnelle Rouge Expression Stain Lip Balm in Elegant: Lip balm, yes. Stain no. Anyway, I like how creamy it is and the colour is just a neutral one I can forget in my purse and it matches with anything. Go get it if you can!

I haven't done a favourite post in yonks! Even though I did wanted to make posts, I didn't have enough favourites to grant a post for the month.

This month is different, and it might be because I have shopped in Quebec City and got lots of new products!

First, I loved the Maybelline Color Elixir. Pictured here is Blush Essence, but I also love Hibiscus Haven but right now I cannot find it! Those are just buttery and have nice color payoff. The smell is also good, better than their L'Oréal counterpart.

I have also liked the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa. I love brights and it's hard to make it brighter than this! It doesn't translate as bright on the picture, but it's a blue-toned fuschia, perfect with a high bun!

You've seen the Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil in my last Current Skincare Routine but I still wanted to include it here because I love it so much! I hate taking off my makeup, I guess it doesn't help when I try to finish crappy product. But this makes me almost love it! I had a bad breakout at the beginning of the month as I was dealing with stress, the time of the month and also leftovers from the month before. I bought a Uriage kit for combination/oily skin as I've heard good  things of the brand before. I haven't tried all the products in the kit yet but I love the Uriage Hyésac Bi-Stick. On one hand it has a drying liquid that you put on your spots. The other one is a concealer. I'm not a big fan of the concealer, as the colour is not really matching my tone right now but I love the drying liquid. I put this in the morning and in the evening when I take off the makeup I could see that the spots where less angry.

I didn't really use the concealer part because I also prefer my 2True 3 in 1 Concealer. 2True is a brand I purchased while in the UK and I can tell it is similar to the famous Collection one, only slightly cheaper. It is now finished but if I could purchase it here I would. For reference my shade is 3.

As a non-beauty favourite, I enjoyed reading and (watching the pictures) of the Canada's Style at Home. I love decorating and I read blogs about the subject but I feel that decor magazines are not catering to me to style. They usually have those big house decorated by stylists and they don't feel lived-in. This is not the cas with the ones featured in this magazine. They actually present lots of Canadian home décor bloggers and they have colorful style, which I adore!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and we probably all want to look our best for this!

I came up with this fresh faced makeup look yesterday, and I think it will be pperfect for the occasion! It's easy to recreate and the products used are all (except one) from the drugstore (Canadian and UK).

New as in mew in my stash that is! I know they are not necessarily the newest Maybelline products...

I went shopping in New Brunswick last week, and while that does not really sound as glamourous as shopping in London or Paris, that is the biggest center in my area. It is still a 2-hour drive away, so you can easily see that Canada is a big country and that I live in the middle of nowhere!

Anyway! I wasn't really interrested in the Maybelline Elixir, as my local drugstores didn't have any exciting colours (browns and reds) but after watching a few videos on it, I decided I better check the colour range while at Wal-Mart and Shoppers. Of course I had to have Hibiscus Haven, which is this stunning bright pink, and then I wasn't sure, because a few colours caught my eyes, but being dark-lipped as I am, none were really showing on me. I went for Blush Essence, which is a nudy pink.

Then I was really curious about the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, being the new coqueluche of the beauty world. I haven't tried it yet, but swatching it on the back of my hands, it feels a lot like the 17 Photo Flawless Primer I had when in the UK.

I then debated a lot about getting this Great Lash Lots of Lashes mascara as I remember having tried the original Great Lash and was not impressed by it. But then the cheap price point sucked me in. Apparently the only difference this one has over the original is the brush and it's suppose to make a big difference. We shall see!

I haven't got a chance to play around my new bits yet as I was sick last week but I can't wait to because Maybelline is one of my favourite drugstore brand.
