Back in Februray, I received an email from Luxe Box asking if I wanted to upgrade my Spring Box with a Limited Edition Benefit one. Hummm? Yes!!!

As oppposed to the other regular box, we already knew what the Benefit box contained. 5 bestselling products in sample size, for a total value of 78$:

The POREfessional balm
They're Real! mascara
Gimme Brow brow gel
It's Potent eye cream
Benetint lip and cheek stain

Out of those 5, I've already tried 2 before, the They're Real mascara and the Benetint. I like both, but I have to say I prefer the mascara. I've also tried the Gimme Brow in Sephora, and liked it. Unfortunately, the one I received in my box is the light/medium one, which is too pale for my brows (my brows are black and sturdy). They did ask for our colour preference, so I don't know what happened there.

I really like the scent of the POREfessional, it make me think of a lemon cake. Now this product is silicon based, so don't know how it's going to sit on oily skin. It does blur the skin though. From the first impressions, it reminds me of Maybelline Baby Skin.

On the other side I'm not too keen on the It's Potent eye cream. To me it smells like an old cream. The colour also reminds me of a product past its due date. From what I have seen online, this look like normal for this product.
 

As I said earlier, this is a limited edition box for Luxe Box,  but it seems to be boxes still available here. I'm glad the "upgrade" was complimentary though, as I don't seem it would be worth it to shell more than the regular fee for it. Maybe if there was a full size product, but not for sample-sized ones.

For those in or near Toronto though, the box contains a voucher for a complimentary brow wax and tint at the Benefit Boutique. Unfortunately, Toronto is way too far for me, so I'm not sure I'll be able to use it. It doesn't have an expiry date, so might be holding on to it if I go.

First, I'd like to say that I didn't know Steven and Chris, so this didn't get me excited about the box. That's what happens when you live in a dual culture country; sometimes, you just don't know what's going on on the other side. Two solitudes and all that.


I was still excited about the box, because it's the only one I receive at the moment. I knew some girls received it before the Easter break, but I didn't. SO I didn't check their reviews before I knew what mine had in store for me!

Marc Anthony Strictly Cursl Curl Defining Lotion: This smells good, a little like lemon cake. I'm sad it's a drugstore brand though. But it's a good size sample!

Coach Coach Love Eau de Parfum: Unlike other beauty bloggers, I do like receiving perfumes in my boxes, when it is a mini bottle! I have to say though this one doesn't smell a lot, is it really an eau de parfum? I will try this, but on first impression I would not be willing to pay full price for this.

Blue Lagoon Iceland Silica Mud Mask: It seems they always include this brand. But I love mud masks, so I'm sure I'm gonna love it!

Lancôme Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate: I like putting a serum on my skin at night time. But it's something I don't like to buy, as I find it boring!

Beauty Sponge: Similar to the Beauty Blender, I have been wanting one for a while, but prefer to spend my money on makeup. Yay!

L'Occitane en Provence 20% Shea Dry Skin Hand Cream: I love L'Occitane's hand creams! Would have been nicer to have it full size though. It's going to be perfect for work.
 

Blue Lagoon Iceland Rich Nourishing Cream: The word rich makes me think this would not suite my skin. I will keep it for night time.


Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation: I have tried the original Healthy Mix and liked it. Apparently the Healthy Mix Serum is even better so I'm glad I will get to try this. Having lived in the UK for 2 years, Bourjois is a drugstrore brand for me, even though in Canada it is sold at Sephora.

I'm not as thrilled about this box as I was about the Winter 2012 one. I'm kinda disapointed to received drugstore products, let alon sachets of them!

This was a really nice surprise I got this week! I totally forgot I have subscribed to the Loose Button Luxe Box as it said that my first box would be the Spring 2013 one. So I was super excited when I have received the email saying I would receive it the day after!

But what my mum didn't tell me is that I already have received it! It was under all the Christmas stuff on the kitchen table! Yay for surprise!

I'm not going to describe in full the products I have received as these posts can be really lengthy and boring, but I do like to compare what I received to ohter people's.

Loose Button Faux Eye Lashes: I might try these, but I have long eyelashes, so I'm not over the moon with it.

Essie Nail Lacquer in Butler Please: When I saw that some girls received the Essie Leading Lady, I wanted to receive this one instead of the China Glaze one. But I'm glad I have got Butler Please!

Blue Lagoon Skin Care Algae Mask: I always like a mask.


Calvin Klein Euphoria: Lots of people don't like perfumes in beauty boxes, but I don't mind them unles they are just a vial. I really like minis and I collect perfume bottles.

Mèreadesso All-in-One Moisturizer: This promise to remove the need of serum and tonic. It might be too rich for my combination skin. We'll see.

Kérastase Cristalliste Lumière Liquide: I like hair serums, so I'm curious about this one.


Cake Beauty It's a Slice  Supreme Body Mousse: Love the smell of this, smells like lemon cake!

Loose Button Kabuki Brush: I left my kabuki brush in London, so I'm glad I now have a back-up!
