A few weeks ago, I received a package full or hair care products! Yay! That's because I was chosen (again) to take part in a Savvy Circle trial. If you are not registered with them yet, you should because they have those nice trials opportunities!

Pantene has launched 3 new ranges catering to specific hair needs:

• from the fine hair range: Aqua Light. With micro-fortifiers to help reinforce fine hair, leaving virtually no weight.
• from the normal to thick hair range: Repair & Protect. With micro-nourishers to help lock in moisture deep down, leaving your hair healthy looking and full of shine.
• from the coloured hair range: Protect & Smooth. With double-effect complex to protect your hair while leaving it beautifully smooth.

I have received the normal to thick hair one, Repair & Protect. Now, after seeing their How to find your Hair Type post, I discovered my hair actually qualify as fine. Let me explain: each individual hair is fine, but I have a lot of it, so my mane is thick, Now, I'm glad I received the range for normal to thick hair, as i am now looking to give myself volume that much!

The Repair & Protect range consists of shampoo, conditionner and serum. In the following weeks, I will let you know my thoughts on them!

Also, another good part is that they gave me samples to share with whoever I want! That means you! I have different samples with Repair and Protect, Aqua Light and Protect & Smooth. I also have money off vouchers to give away!

What do you think about Pantene products?

I have now been testing the Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2-in-1 Foundation* for about a month.

What strikes me with this foundation is how lightweight it is. When I wear it, I don't feel like I have something on, but I can tell the difference with my carnation! My complexion and skin doens't look bad, I have a few pores, and some redness, that's about it. But what I look for in a foundation is to even my skin tone. Max Factor Ageless Elixir promises to be medium coverage, so if you have some little imperfections, it would still be ok.

I really like the texture of this product, a "silky-soft" foundation. You can definitely feel the serum in it when you apply, yet it is not greasy at all. I tend to have oily skin, and the Max Factor Ageless Elixir didn't make my skin oilier nor broke me out.

The smell of the foundation is also pleasant, a light fruity scent. It reminds me of lychee.

And one with the Max Factor Ageless Elixir put on with a Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush.

With 1-2 pumps at the back of my hand, I can easily cover my whole face and neck if I use a stippiling brush. You would need more if you apply with your hands.

The foundation comes in a range of 6 shades:

40 Light Ivory
45 Warm Almond
50 Natural
55 Beige
75 Golden
80 Bronze

Mine is the 75 Golden, and the colour suits me. I wouldn't be able to tell you my MAC skin tone, as I have never tried their foundation (I should go and check out!), but I have medium skin.

This foundation retails at £12.99 at most drugstores. Boots currently have an offer where you receive a free Max Factor Lasting Lip Tint when you buy selected Max Factor (including this product!) and I also have a few £5 off (at Boots) to giveaway.

Along with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I would say this is my favourite foundation! I like everything in this: texture, coverage, feeling, smell, colour.

A week ago I received a package from Max Factor containing something really exciting! Foundation! Yay! I don't know what I have with foundation as it can be a boring product, but I always end up looking for a "holy grail" one, even if my skin is not that bad.

Anyway, I love the creamy texture of foundations and also like to see the before/after aspects of it. Foundation is one of those products that let you keep it minimal, without looking like a mess.

But I digress. So I received the Ageless Elixir starter kit as part of their Savvy Circle trial.

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2-in-1 Foundation + Serum promises to "instantly reduce the
appearance of „ fine lines and wrinkles, while the added serum simultaneously protects
the skin against signs of ageing due to its SPF 15 (Sun Protection Factor), when used daily."

Fine enough for me! Even though my skin is not wrinkled yet, I can see the first signs of ageing, and I certainly want to prevent any more damage.

From what I have seen of the product before receiving it, I thought it would be in those dual pump, where you could see serum and foundation being pumped at the same time. But they're already blended in the tube, as you might see from the picture above.

I have received the 75-Golden one. I haven't seen the other colours yet, but mine being almost the darkest shade, even though I didn't get a lot of sun this summer makes me feel that darker people might be left out by that product. Which could be a good thing for the light skin ladies, as they sometimes struggle to find a true match to their carnation.

I have started to trial the product, but will let you know in a later post my detailed views on it. For the time being, I will tell you that I LOVE the smell of it. To me, it smells like lychee. And being a fan of fruity smells, this is a winner for me!
