The first thing that pops up into my mind when trying to open my post for those berries is Miranda Priestly in Devils Wears Prada: "Florals? For spring? Ground breaking." Except that here you would replace florals by berries and Spring for Autumn.

Yet there is a reason this colour is so popular comes this time of year. We like dark hues, but we still want a pop of colour. So berry tones are the perfect solution for this, a reminder of the fallen leaves, and a promise of mulled wine to come!

And it seems lots of the lipsticks and glosses I picked up in the past week (I know, and this is not even everything, I went shopping cray cray) were in those berry tones, ranging from burgundy to rose.

Hard Candy Ombre Lipstick in Friendly: This one is particularly fun, as it promises the 90's lipline effect in one product. The 90's are really on right now, but I'm not sure if this trend will pick up! It is nice and creamy though.

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Parisian Passion: I think this will be my favourite.a deep shade that will pop out from your scarf and knits!.

Personelle Rouge Expression in Elegant: All the colours from the lineup were tempting I have to say! They're made with shea butter and are so moisturizing!

L'Oréal Caresse Wet Shine in Romy: A blue toned pink gloss, I imagined it with rosy cheeks after an afternoon walk!

Brighton Rock!

One of the lipsticks I had wanted for a whhile now is Brighton Rock from Topshop. I don't remember where I saw it first, but it was just the type pf bright colour I need in my life.

When I went to London las year, I couldn't find it. I thought it was maybe discontinued, but then it was on their website. So it was on my wishlist for this summer. You could say I could've just order it. You're right but then again I didn't want to pay for international shipping for only just one lippy.

On my first day in London I had time to kill before my hostel checkin, and what do you do? Shopping of course! I went to the Oxford Circus Topshop and I found Brighton Rock easily. And I held on tight to it!

It has a matte finish, and as most mattes it lasts forever, but on the downside it can fell drying. As the Fall creeps on us, it might not be a season appropriate shade, but it is definitely me, so I don't mind. Also, it is a bright shade, but quite easy to pull off, I'm not sure if it's because it's matte or just the colour. I can see it compliments every complexion.

Also a quick note on the packaging, all of Topshop makeup comes in those white package with black hand drawn style doodles and writing. It's chich yet playful at the same time and who doesn't like a good monochrome something?!

Jouviance Gloss XOXO and Rouge Magistral

I've discovered the new makeup line from Jouviance about a month and a half ago, with the Le Stick Bisou de Véro. While I'm yet to try their foundation and eye products, I'm quite addicted to their lip lineup!

This time I wanted a brighter colour and my eyes were set on the Rouge Magistral in Party in Dubai. Anyone who knows me will know this is a "me" colour. It is a dark pink with a tinge of blue, which can also be called French Rose. The lipstick has a nice creamy texture, and is said to have hyaluronic spheres to "lock moisture in skin tissues".

I was about to get another Rouge Magistral, the Montréal Je t'aime, but I thought it was too similar to my Bisous de Véro Le Stick, even though there is a Bisou de Véro shade in the Rouge Magistral line.

So I opted for a Gloss XOXO in the shade Premier Baiser, which is a peachy baby pink. I was quite pleased with the colour but because of my dark lips sometimes it is useless to go for pale glosses like this one. But I like to match them with lipstick, and it is nice on top of Party in Dubai.

Jouviance makeup is sold online on their own website and also in Jean Coutu stores. I would suggest you either play with the colours in store or look for swatches online first as the swatches on the Jouviance website are not accurate, and neither are the diplays (nor the color discs on the products) in stores. Thank God for testers!

Craving Coral: How to rock coral lips!

Sunset Angora, Tutti Frutti, Coral Lustre, Bubble, Brighton Beach Peach

God! Winter guys! Is NOT going away! Now we don't know where to put it anymore! We have a hill of the stuff in front of the garage door, because that's the only place we can put it.

I decided that if Winter is not going away on its own, I'm going to kick him out! Shooo! Yesterday I did a Spring clean and I also choose a few lippies to make me think of brighter days.

First we have L'Oréal Colour Riche Sunset Angora. A creamy formula with a salmon colour. Coral might be tricky to wear if you don't have perfectly white teeth but if you go for a pinker shade like this one instead of an orangier coral, then you will be on the safe side.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti is a scary color if you're not used to bolds! Is it an orangy shade, so it would be better if you have white teeth.

Maybelline Color Sensational in Coral Lustre is another orangy coral, but a little less frightening that Tutti Frutti!

Annabelle TwistUp Bubble: A nice nudy coral. If you are not used to colours, this would be your bet. The fine crayon tip makes it impossible to miss application. It has a velvety matte finish, that is all the rage right now!

Brighton Beach Peach, Sunset Angora, Tutti Frutti, Coral Lustre, Bubble

When in doubt, wear gloss! Gloss and sheer lipstick are also good option if you're not sure to rock bold colour. NYC Liquid Lipshine in Brighton Beach Peach is a lovely peachy (duh!) nude gloss, that can suit most looks.

Red Lippies

With the snow fallen and here to stay, I think it is safe and appropriate to wear red lippies again!

They are so elegant and timeless, and I think everyone want to have some glamour in their life come Christmas time.

MAC Prepare for Pleasure: It is part of the Divine Night Collection, released for the holidays 2013. I think this one could be straight out of the 20's.

MAC Lipglass RiRi Woo: This is more of a sexy red gloss. Somehow it reminds me of the poster of Rocky Horror Picture Show, with vinyl-like lips!

Annabelle Twistup in Red Carpet: This is more of an orangy bright red. It could be easily worn in the summer as well.

Annabelle Twistup in Cherry: A deep red, good to make your teeth appear whiter!

Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet: This is the easiest to wear, as it is sheener than the other ones. Perfect for red-newbies!

As you may know, reds are harder to wear than other colours, as they are so pigmented, You have to be careful to colour the edges properly! Also, to avoid thos nasty lipstick marks on your teeth,l ike you can see in one picture :(, suck your index finger a few times, so the excess transfers on the finger and not the teeth! Hope that helps!

Oh hi there! I thought I lost you!

I've kinda been living in my suitcases for the last year and a half. Since I moved from London basically. I have a lot of stuff and most of them are stored and it's hard to keep track of everything.

Last year when I went back to London I did a massive clearout and brought back home a few suitcases. I also stored a few things at a friend's and I recently got them back.

The lippies in the pics are in the last category. I thought I lost them forever! And I was sad, because except for MAC Angel, they were not easily available (LE, discontinued,etc.) They were in my work bag, that was at my friend Deo's. I was so glad when I check what was in the pockets and discovered I have stashed them in there! I threw my fist in the air in victory!

They are perfect for the automnal bright lips trend (well, obs not Angel).

Eyeko Hot Lips, MAC Angel, Rockalily ZOMG

Same thing for the navy blazer. This is one of my favourite blazers of all times! After looking in my boxes and not finding it, I came to the conclusion that I might have given it to charity when I left. But this week I found it! In the suitcase I have turned upside down a few times!

It feels like Christmas!

Flake & Benefit Win!

On August 1st, I won a Benefit lipstick in my Cadbury Flake package! I was so excited! I know lots of people already have win a lot of these, but I bought many Flakes and only win one. i don`t think I will goignt to win another oone, as I already bought too many Flakes, almost past the value of the lipstick! And, I prefer other chocolates!

I received it last week. There are four lipstick colours and two liglosses to choose from. I chose a lipstick in the shade Wild Card. When I received it, I thought it was too dark, but it suits me well and it's going to be a nice colour for Autumn and Winter. Here are some pictures!

I love that they put a lips sticker on the enveloppe, I actually thought somebody sent me something!

The colour on the picture is not like the real one. In real, it is darker, and is more a brownish red!
