Updated Room Tour Spring Edition!
16:30:00
I did a Room Tour post last time in August. I didn't changed anaything in it until a few weeks ago, where I decided I needed to see more blue. The old decor was pretty much just pink, and while I love the colour so dearly, I thought it needed some companionship to bring it to life. And blue it was.
The starting point were those pillowcases. I realise that on screen with the yellow of the walls have a greeninsh tint to it, but they are sky blue, with fuschia flowers. I kept the rest of the bedding the same and the sequin cushion from Rossy. The rectangle cushion is from Maisons du Monde, that I got while I was in France.
I shuffle my bedside table a little bit, but some books and the lamp stayed there.I only added this Bath and Body Works Lavender Vanilla Candle, the Fifty Bags that Changed the World book (from Homesense or TJ Maxx, I'm not sure which one I got it from), and a horseshoe that I spray-painted blue last year without really having plans for it. The lamp is the KNUBBIG from Ikea, the elephant, pink vase, white votive holder and clock were thrifted at different places. Oh and the L'air du temps by Nina Ricci poster is also thrifted.
As for the books, they are: Fifty Bags that Changed the World (Museum Design), Les Dames de Missalonghi (Colleen McCollough) and Cyrano de Bergerac (Edmond Rostand).
Those votives usually live on my windowsill. I love the light they give. :)
On the little table I have next to the window, I changed the books, with two new ones I got at Homesense (Things We Love by Kate Spade and Pretty Pastel Style by Selina Lake) last month and one from Sephora. On top of them I have a glass ball, that I got at the thrift store. I also got another BBW candle, Rainforest Gardenia. The Eiffel Tower was a gift from my godmother when I was a child.
And this is an overview of the room.
Let me know what kind of room decor you like! Also, do you read decor blogs, and which ones?

Cute! I love the floral pillowcases! My bedroom is pretty monochromatic- a lot of white and gray- so I've been looking for a more colorful duvet cover to liven things up a bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you Bailey! I love monochrome! It goes well with pink or turquoise.
